Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 16, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is an update on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added more than 1,700 new cases overnight, bringing the state’s total to 167,656 confirmed cases. The statewide positivity rate currently sits at 6.45%, which is down 0.12% from yesterday. Locally, Wicomico County sits at a total of 2,914 cases, with a positivity rate of 5.91%. Worcester County has 1,362 total cases and a positivity rate of 6.43%.

In Delaware, the total number of cases is up to 29,200, with a statewide positivity rate of 12.1%. Sussex County is up to 9,139 cases, with a positivity rate of 12.5%, down from 17.5% yesterday.

Virginia now has 185,525 cases statewide, up more than 2,500 in the last 24 hours. Accomack County is up to 1,258 confirmed cases.
