Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 13, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is an update on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added more than 1,800 new cases overnight, bringing the state’s total to 161,769 confirmed cases. The state’s positivity rate also jumped to 5.87%, compared to Thursday’s 5.65%. Locally, Wicomico County added 24 new cases with a positivity rate of 5.21%, while Worcester County added just nine new cases and has a positivity rate of 5.13%.

In Delaware, 470 new cases were added over the past 24 hours, with the statewide positivity rate jumping to 14.6%. Sussex County added 102 new cases and has a current positivity rate of 16.4%.

Virginia is up to 181,476 confirmed cases statewide, up more than 1,000 from Thursday. Accomack County added three new cases.
