Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 12, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is an update on COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added nearly 1,500 cases over the past 24 hours, with the statewide total now pushing 160,000. The state’s positivity rate also continues to climb, now up to 5.65%. Locally, Wicomico County has a positivity rate of 4.84% with 2,776 confirmed cases, while Worcester County has 1,311 confirmed cases and a positivity rate of 4.71%.

In Delaware, total cases are now up to 27,546, with a statewide positivity rate of 11.4%, down from 14.4% reported yesterday. Sussex County is up to 8,752 cases with a positivity rate of 11.7%, down drastically from yesterday’s 17.4%.

Virginia has now passed 180,000 confirmed cases statewide. Accomack County is reporting 1,245 total cases.
