Coastal Hospice kicks off ‘Be an Angel’ campaign

SALISBURY, Md. – It is that time of the year again: time to be an angel to a loved one by honoring their memory all while supporting one local organization.

Each and every year between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, Coastal Hospice hosts their Be an Angel Program, where community members can honor a loved one by hanging an angel ornament on one of Coastal Hospice’s Christmas trees throughout the area. The trees can be found at several locations, including the Atlantic Hotel in Berlin, at the University of Eastern Shore Maryland, and even right here at 47 ABC.

Tammy Patrick with Coastal Hospice says the fundraiser is even more important this year during the pandemic.

“With everything going on as we know, fundraising is nil at this point as we know because we can’t have events,” Patrick said. “It is very important to support coastal hospice and all of your charities, because it has been a very difficult year.”

You can make a donation to receive your angel ornament by logging on to coastal hospice’s website, or you can even text ANGEL to 345-345. If you do donate that way, just include the name of the person you want to honor so coastal hospice can write their name on the ornament to be placed on one of the trees.
