Big Brothers Big Sisters hoping to raise donations during Shore Gives More
Salisbury, MD – Giving Tuesday is just over one week away and in the days leading to December 1st we are highlighting some non-profits you’ll see on the list to donate to.
Next Tuesday the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore is encouraging you to donate to the group of your choice. Among the 95 non-profits on the list is Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The non-profit has been on the shore since the 1980s, to provide one-on-one mentorship services to the youth along with enrichment workshops. According to the executive director, Jessica Mimms, the money donated would go directly back to those initiatives, to serve the children in the community.
“I just want to thank everybody for everything they have done for the community through this pandemic,” Mimms said. “It’s been nice being a part of a community that is so supportive of one another.”
On Saturday, December 5th, BBBS will hold their 28th annual charity golf tournament, where golfers can come out to golf and donate an unwrapped gift to a child in the community.
