Weather Tidbits: Neap Tide

This Weather Tidbits checks out the other type of tide, the neap tide. A neap tide occurs when the sun and moon are at right angles of each other during the quarter moon phases, where the bulge created by the sun is partially canceled out by the moon. This leads to moderate tides, where the high tide is lower than normal and the low tide is higher than normal. Also, other components of a tide are explored too, such as an ebb, flood & slack tide.
