Two Sussex Tech staff members test positive for coronavirus

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The Sussex Tech School District announced on Friday that two staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.

We’re told the staff members followed proper social distancing and mask-wearing protocols when on campus. People who were in contact with the staff members have been notified individually and advised on the recommended course of action.  The district is encouraging all families to monitor students for symptoms of COVID-19.

As a precaution, the campus will be closed October 12th and 13th for a deep cleaning, and will reopen Wednesday, October 14th. Classes and meetings will be held remotely during that time.
