Smyrna Police reach breakthrough in human remains investigation

SMYRNA, Del. – Smyrna Police say they have recently reached a breakthrough in an investigation of child remains that were found at the Little Lass Fields in September of 2019.

We’re told persons of interest in the case are in custody in another state. The investigation remains active, with search warrants being executed, evidence being processed, and interviews being conducted.

Because of the ongoing investigation, information remains limited at this time. Smyrna Police are being assisted by the FBI in this investigation.
