Sanchez leads another Smyrna offensive outburst
LEWES, Del. – Smyrna’s offense, led by senior quarterback Aiden Sanchez, overpowered Cape Henlopen in their 54-13 win in Lewes Friday night.
The Eagles and Cape swapped opening touchdowns to begin the game before Smyrna scored 22-unanswered points leading into halftime. Sanchez tossed four touchdowns in the first half; two to Yamir Knight, and two to Wayne Knight.
Smyrna (2-0) will play Sussex Central in Georgetown in their week three matchup. Cape Henlopen (0-2) will visit Milford.
