Salisbury hosting first ever Hops on the River

SALISBURY, Md. – Downtown Salisbury will be overflowing with brews this weekend as a part of the city’s first ever Hops on the River event.

The craft beer tasting event will take place on Saturday at the Riverwalk.

Here’s how it’ll work: groups of ticket holders will receive guided tours through different tents, where different breweries will have over 24 craft brews to taste. The entire thing will be socially distanced with only one group in each tent at a time.

Andy Kitzrow, the Deputy City Administrator, says he and other city officials wanted to come up with a way to host an event like this while of course adjusting to the pandemic.

“We’ve had to change some things up because of the current state of affairs with the pandemic, but we’re still able to, if we follow these protocols, and keep it more intimate and manage the group sizes, that we can still create activities, I know people are eager to get outside and be able to do things,” Kitzrow said.

Tickets for the event can be purchased here, but we should mention that as of Thursday morning, there were only ten tickets left, so if you’re interested in attending – act fast!
