Salisbury business raising awareness, fundraising for Alzheimer’s Association

SALISBURY, Md. – One Salisbury businesses is taking its efforts to support the Alzheimer’s Association to the next level.

Every year, ERA Martin Associates supports the organization by fundraising and participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. With this year’s efforts being mostly virtual, they’ve decided to get creative. On Wednesday, they celebrated reaching the halfway mark of their $10,000 goal by dying their hair purple and dressing up in purple outfits. They say the cause is close to their hearts and they’re excited to still be able to help out during this uncertain time.

“It’s a terrible debilitating disease. It affects many many Americans. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and suffered from it. So that’s sort of what got us personally involved with the cause but it’s something that goes on all over the country and all over the world and we’re hoping for a cure,” says Joni Williamson, the President of ERA Martin Associates.

Williamson says most of the money raised for the association stays right in the local community.
