Police: Man arrested in connection to Milford gas station shooting

MILFORD, Del. – A Dover man was arrested Thursday evening after he allegedly fired at two people at a Milford gas station.

At around 8:45 p.m., officers from Milford Police responded to the Wawa in the 900 block of North DuPont Boulevard for a reported shooting. Further investigation revealed that a verbal argument broke out between several individuals at the gas pumps that led to a single round being fired from a handgun towards two individuals. Neither individual was hit by the gunfire.

The suspect then reportedly fled in a vehicle northbound on North DuPont Boulevard, but was later located by Delaware State Police on Route 1 in Dover. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Kareem Williams of Dover, was taken into custody. It was also discovered that Williams is prohibited from possessing firearms.

He was subsequently charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of aggravated menacing, two counts of first degree reckless endangerment, and possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited.

Williams was held at SCI on a $57,700 cash-only bail.
