POLICE: Driver arrested, accused of doing doughnuts on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge

QUEEN ANNE’S Co., Md. – A Virginia man is facing four counts of disorderly conduct and 23 traffic violations. Police say they connected him to a viral video of a car doing doughnuts on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
On Sunday, September 27, Maryland Transportation Authority Police were notified of a video depicting reckless and dangerous driving behavior that had been posted to social media. MDTA Police Officers conducted an investigation and confirmed that the incident occurred on the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Queen Anne’s County.
Through the investigation, officers reportedly identified 22-year-old Gary Ray Montague Jr. of Dumfries, Virginia as the suspected driver of the vehicle in the video.
On Tuesday, September 29, Montague was charged with four counts of disorderly conduct and 23 traffic violations. Traffic charges include reckless driving, willfully damaging a highway and driving a motor vehicle in a manner intended to cause skidding.
It is not clear if the driver was involved in the unsanctioned H2Oi event in Ocean City.
