Photo Walk: New event for photographers coming to Salisbury October 17

SALISBURY, Md.- Photographers can look forward to a new event that will allow them to express their creativity and bond with like-minded people, all while staying safe.

The event is called the Photo Walk and it is being held at the Pemberton Historical Park by Wicomico County Tourism on October 17.

We are told this event will allow up to 20 people to explore the park and its trails from 10 a.m. to noon stopping at different points along the way to take pictures.

This will give photographers the opportunity to connect with each other and showcase their work and the area at a time where many other events are being canceled due to COVID-19.

“It is fun to be able to bring people together for something that we think will be a safe experience and also a fun experience and maybe there will be some people who haven’t been out to the park or haven’t been there in awhile and they will get to see what we have to offer,” Vanessa Junkin, Marketing & PR Manager with Wicomico County Recreation Parks, Tourism & Civic Center, said.

Photographers should bring their own cameras to the event.

Wicomico County Tourism will share photos from the event on its Wicomico County Tourism blog and on social media, with credit.

They will need to go through a health screening the day of the event and wear masks.

Because the event is limited to 20 people photographers are encouraged to sign up in advance at www.WicomicoTourism.org
