Md. Comptroller presents award to Operation We Care

SALISBURY, Md. – A nonprofit that has been supporting our troops since 2006 was honored for their good work.

On Thursday, Comptroller Peter Franchot presented the William Donald Schaefer helping people award to Operation We Care. For 13 years, Operation We Care has initiated projects to send meals to law enforcement, send care packages to active duty soldiers, and more recently provided personal protective equipment for first responders.

We’re told founders Jeff and Diana Merritt accepted the award honoring their work supplying military personnel and first responders with critically needed supplies.
