Gov. Carney formally extends State of Emergency

WILMINGTON, Del. – On Friday, Governor John Carney formally extended Delaware’s State of Emergency another 30 days as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We remain committed to getting more children in school, and more Delawareans back to work. To do that, we need Delawareans to stay vigilant, and follow the public health precautions to prevent the spread of this virus. Wear a face covering and avoid large gatherings. Wash or sanitize your hands frequently. Keep your distance from others outside your household. We’re beating COVID-19, but this fight isn’t over. Let’s not erase the progress we’ve made,” Carney said in a statement.
