Dewey Beach closed until further notice due to oil spill
DEWEY BEACH, Del. – The Town of Dewey Beach says the beach will be closed until further notice due to the recent oil spill in the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Town officials say the beach does have coagulated tar balls on the beach. DNREC has been notified and will work on cleaning the beach along with the other coastal areas affected by the spill.
