Delmarva Delivers Food Drive aims to help people in need

DELMARVA – On Saturday, the 47 ABC team partnered with different community organizations for the Delmarva Delivers Food Drive.

The Delmarva Delivers Food Drive was made possible thanks to our sponsors ACME, Hardee’s, and Perdue Farms.

On Saturday, members of the community dropped off food at the Shorebird’s Stadium Parking Lot in Salisbury and the Laurel Junction in Delaware. These donations will benefit local charities as well as the Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia Eastern Shore Food Banks.

“So being able to come together through collaboration and community partnerships to raise more food for those that are facing food insecurity here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland is extremely important,” said Maryland Food Bank Regional Program Director Jennifer Small.

If you missed Saturday’s donation time slots, the food drive is actually going until October 31st.
