Coronavirus cases across the shore: October 27, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is a look at COVID-19 cases across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added nearly 900 new cases over the last 24 hours, bringing the state’s total to 141,741, with a positivity rate of 3.35%. Wicomico County added 13 new cases, bringing the county’s total to 2,493, with a positivity rate of 4.05%, down slightly from 4.58% the previous day. Worcester County added just six new cases and has a positivity rate of 3.2%.

In Delaware, 81 new cases were added overnight, bringing the state’s total number of confirmed cases to 24,249. The statewide positivity rate is up just slightly, at 7.7% compared to the previous day’s 7.3%. Locally, Sussex County added 28 new cases and has a positivity rate of 10.5%.

Virginia added more than 1,000 new cases overnight, bringing the statewide total to 163,339. Accomack County added just one new case.
