Assateague Coastal Trust film festival goes virtual
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Get your popcorn ready! Assateague Coastal Trust is bringing the beautiful sights and scenes of Delmarva right to your living room this year for their annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
Usually the festival is held in person every year, but this year they’re going completely virtual because of the pandemic. The film festival highlights a handful of short films that showcase environmental areas across the peninsula.
Kathy Phillips, the Executive Director of Assateague Coastal Trust, said they still wanted to showcase these films in an effort to get people more involved in the environment they live in.
“It’s our hope that what happens after you experience the wild and scenic film fest is that you want to do more to protect the places that you love,” she said.
The festival will be held on Thursday, October 29 starting at 7:00 p.m. If you want to purchase a ticket, you can do so here.
