47 ABC partners with Bank of Delmarva and Wor-Wic Community College for tuition giveaway

SALISBURY, Md. — For the 13th year in a row, 47 ABC has some exciting news to report with the Bank of Delmarva and Wor-Wic Community College.

On Friday, 47ABC’s Sloane Haines met with John Breda, the President of the Bank of DelMarva and Dr. Ray Hoy, the President of Wor-Wic Community College to announce a special surprise for two Eastern Shore residents.

Each year 47 ABC partners with the two organizations for a random tuition giveaway. The annual surprise is some thing that has been carried on as a tradition to bring a gift to local students.

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years running for this scholarship program,” said Breda. “At the bank of Delmarva we can’t think of a better way to give back to the community than with the gift of education.”

The two students, chosen at random, receive free tuition for one year to Wor-Wic Community College and a laptop.

This year, the winners are Amanda Smith, from Parsonsburg and Kellyanne Caple from Eden.

Congratulations Kellyanne and Amanda!
