SU suspends 21 students for potential COVID-19 policy violations

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury University officials confirm they have suspended 21 students for possible violations of their COVID-19 policies.

Due to privacy constraints, information is limited on the investigation as to what these students were suspended for exactly.

But per university rules, students are required to wear masks indoors and outdoors when they cannot stay socially distanced.

They must also limit the size of social gatherings.

“Now that we’re back on campus, it’s important that all students follow the COVID-19 policies and help protect the flock as much as possible and again that’s wearing a mask, that’s social distancing, that’s avoiding large gatherings,” said Salisbury University Public Relations Director Jason Rhodes.

“It’s not really more than most states are asking of their own citizens,” said Rhodes.

Students can report on any COVID-19 policy violations through their website to help keep everyone safe.
