Salisbury launches new online “Citizen Problem Reporter”

SALISBURY, Md. – The city of Salisbury has a new updated way for residents to report problems like maintenance concerns and then track the progress of them getting fixed.

It’s called Salisbury Citizen Problem Reporter and is available online. City officials say it’s extremely user friendly. Residents simply log in as a guest and then you can report issues with trash, roads, streetlights, homes, permits, parks, even snow and ice. The resident can then enter their contact information to receive real time updates and notifications about the situation.

“Well I hope it’s an opportunity for them to feel more engaged in the process and take responsibility for what they see on a day to day basis. We have 435 employees that are out every day but if we had every citizen having eyes out saying there’s a pothole there and a pothole there, we would be able to address things faster,” says Salisbury’s Acting Mayor Julia Glanz.

Officials say this site should not be used for emergency situations in the city that need immediate attention.

The site is available 24/7 and can be accessed on a computer, iPhone or Android.

To use the new Citizen Problem Reporter, visit www.salisbury.md and navigate to “Report an Issue” or click here to visit the reporter directly.
