Police searching for wanted Georgetown man

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for assault and other related charges.

According to police, on September 1st, 29-year-old Quajer Washington got into a verbal altercation with a 19-year-old acquaintance while traveling in a vehicle on Johnson Road in Lincoln. During the incident, the argument escalated, and Washington reportedly pointed a gun at the victim and physically assaulted the victim, causing serious injury.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Washington fled the scene after the incident and is currently wanted for possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, first degree assault, two counts of aggravated menacing, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
