Millsboro woman arrested on multiple drug charges
MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Millsboro woman on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a traffic stop was initiated just before 2:30 p.m., after a trooper saw a red Dodge Durango traveling southbound on Long Neck Road, approaching School Lane, following another vehicle too closely. Contact was made with the driver and sole occupant, 35-year-old Amber Monroe, and based on information obtained during the interaction, police conducted a search of her car.
Troopers located approximately .67 grams of methamphetamine, approximately .14 grams of heroin, and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and following a motor vehicle too close.
Monroe was later released on her own recognizance.
