HALO shelter works to keep homeless students engaged in virtual learning
SALISBURY, Md. – The HALO shelter in Salisbury is offering space for children in the homeless community who need help during virtual learning this school year.
According to HALO shelter Executive Director Celeste Savage, they’re working closely with the Wicomico County Board of Education to help these students who are already at the shelter.
HALO says this initiative helps to break the cycle of homelessness.
If you’re interested in finding support for a child at the shelter you’re encouraged to reach out to Savage through HALO’s Facebook page called Hope and Life Outreach.
