Forest Products Facility Catches Fire

POCOMOKE CITY– MD, On Saturday in Pocomoke a fire broke out and caused more than 5 million dollars worth of damage.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshall’s office, the blaze began around 11:30 at the Eastern Shore Forest Products facility located on Peach Orchard Road.

We’re told multiple fire departments from Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware responded to the scene, and it took more than 100 firefighters about 9 hours to put the fire out.

Official say the fire caused about 5 point 5 million dollars in structural damage, luckily we’re told no injuries or deaths were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
