DSP investigating serious pedestrian crash in Laurel


LAUREL, Del. — Delaware State Police are currently on the scene of a serious crash, involving a pedestrian, that happened this evening in Laurel.

We’re told the incident happened right after 7:40 p.m., on Sussex Highway in the area of County Seat Highway. DSP confirmed that a pedestrian was struck and killed in this crash, but they have yet to release the persons’s identity.

The roadway is closed at this time, and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes of travel.
