Delaware fire crew returning home after battling wildfires out west
SMRYNA, Del. – In Delaware, 21 brave firefighters are returning home after being sent to help battle wildfires in Arizona and California.
On Thursday, the Delaware Wildfire Crew announced the 21 men are coming home after their successful 14 day assignment out west. We’re told the crews battled the Griffin fire, which is burning over 60 thousand acres, as well as the Rockhouse fire, and the Valley fire. The Valley fire was less then 40 percent contained before Delaware’s crew got there, but now, it is over 90 percent contained.
The crew is expected to land in Smryna this Friday.
