UPDATE: Delaware State Police Dispatch Centers experience statewide interruption in service

DELAWARE – On Monday night, Delaware State Police Dispatch Centers experienced a brief statewide interruption in service. Anyone who attempted to call 911 either by cellphone or landline experienced a busy signal.

During the interruption, Delawareans were encouraged to text 911 instead and type their emergency in the message field.

Delaware State Police Dispatch Centers are now operational and 911 calls are being received.

If you call 911 and receive a busy signal or recorded message, you are encouraged to text 911 and type your emergency in the message field or utilize the non-emergency telephone numbers.
