12-year-old, 14-year-old arrested in gunpoint robbery of 11-year-old

DOVER, Del. – A 12-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested in Dover after police say they robbed an 11-year-old boy with a gun.

Police say yesterday around 3:49 in the afternoon, the male victim was standing outside of a convenience store. That’s when police say a 12-year-old boy walked up to him and tried to sell him an iPhone. Police say the suspect then went over to the 14-year-old suspect, got a black bag, and then ran at the victim with a gun and demanded his belongings.

The 12-year-old got away with a bag that had an EBT card and a bag of chips. The two suspects were then seen running toward Manchester Square, and that’s where police found them later and arrested them without incident.

Both suspects now face charges that include robbery of the first degree and possession of a deadly weapon.
