Wanted Felton man arrested in Harrington

HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police say they arrested a wanted Felton man on drug charges on Friday.

While on patrol, officers saw 46-year-old Timothy Newcomb involved in a hand to hand drug transaction. After the transaction was complete, Newcomb drove away, and officers stopped him in the parking lot of the Super 8 on South DuPont Highway. It was learned that Newcomb had an active warrant out of the Delaware State Police for theft by false pretense under $1500, as well as capias out of Kent and Sussex Counties.

A vehicle search led police to find 0.7 grams of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.

Newcomb was charged with manufactures, delivers, or possesses with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He was issued a $4,000 unsecured bond for the criminal charges and a $1,000 secured bond for the capiases and was held at SCI.
