Tunnel to Towers announces ‘Never Forget Virtual Challenge’

LEWES, Del. – The group Tunnel to Towers Delmarva is pushing its fundraising efforts to provide financial support for families of fallen first responders.
The team has organized a virtual challenge with the goal to raise 5,000 dollars. It’s all part of a nationwide fundraising campaign by the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
According to the organizer of the Tunnel to Towers Delmarva, Brian Brubaker, the pandemic has made a huge impact on fundraising efforts this year.
Brubaker adds the money will go to programs through the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
Stephen Siller, a New York City Firefighter, lost his life on September 11th at ground zero after he ran through the Battery Tunnel to get there.
“The need doesn’t and it won’t go away,” said Brubaker.
“So, that’s why we need to continue doing everything that we can even during the pandemic to try to raise funds so that we can continue with our programs,” said Brubaker.
