“Trump Boat Parade” planned in Sussex Co. this weekend

SUSSEX CO., Del. – Some Delaware residents are preparing for a “Trump Boat Parade” in Sussex County this weekend.

Organizers say the event will take place along the Indian River on Saturday starting at 10 AM. The route will start in the area of Pot Nets, make its way around Massey’s Ditch and end at a nearby sandbar. Organizers couldn’t give an exact number of people planning to participate but they say many are coming from through out the region to show their support for President Donald Trump.

“We have a lot of water. We have a lot of supporters who have boats so it’s a perfect opportunity to have a boat parade. We can all be social distancing six feet apart being in our own private boats and being responsible but at the same time celebrating and supporting our president,” says Rob Arlett, an organizer of the parade.
