The Seaford School District to reopen in hybrid format on Sept. 8th
SEAFORD, Del. — The Seaford School District announced Tuesday that they will be opening up their schools in a hybrid format.
We’re told the district will be working closely with the Delaware division of public health to monitor the amount of community spread within their schools. School officials also say students and staff will be required to wear face masks at all times.
It’s important to note, families who selected 100% remote on the questionnaire that was sent out, will start the year off as such. School officials say the custodial staff has done “a great job” acquiring all cleaning and PPE supplies needed for reopening.
The school district’s first day of school for all students, remote and hybrid, is set for September 8th.
School officials say for the first marking period, as they instruct students in both 100% remote and hybrid models, the school day hours are as follows:
- Preschool: 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
- West Seaford Elementary & Blades Elementary: 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Fred Douglass Elementary & Central Elementary: 9:15 AM to 2:45 PM
- Seaford Middle School: 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- Seaford High School: 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
The Seaford School District says principals will reach out to all families to share information specific to a child’s school.
