Senator Tom Carper Meets With New Mayor Elect

REHOBOTH, DE– On Wednesday Delaware Senator Tom Carper met with newly elected Rehoboth City mayor Stan Mills to discuss how the pandemic has affected the area.

Senator Carper tells us he believes businesses are hurting because people are afraid to come out because of possibly getting the virus.

Meanwhile Mayor-Elect Stan Mills says visitation is down because no one is coming to town– and that has required them to put other projects on hold.

“A good amount of revenues are derived from our visitors particularly through the parking meter system and obviously with our visitation down our revenues are down so we have had to put a hold on some capital improvement projects,” said Mills.

Mayor Elect Mills also says he hopes the message has gotten out there through the media that face masks are required in all public spaces in town.
