Salisbury man arrested for assault, intoxicated endangerment

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man is behind bars after he reportedly assaulted another person late last week.

According to police, the incident happened during the afternoon hours on August 13th, in the 600 block of East Road. It was learned that 56-year-old Oscar Johnson had reportedly hit another subject in the head with a shovel during an altercation. The deputy also observed that Johnson appeared intoxicated during the incident.

Johnson was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, carry a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure, and intoxicated endangerment. He was held without bond.
