Registration begins for Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salvation Army Lower Eastern Shore will begin registering children this week for this year’s Angel Tree Program.

The program provides new clothing or toys for kids of needy families through the support of donors.

This year’s registration will be done through phone appointments and email because of the pandemic.

The program is for children ages birth to 14 years old and each family is screened to verify their needs.

According to Captain Cristina Trantham at the Salvation Army Lower Eastern Shore, this program helps make a difference for those who’ve fallen on hard times.

“So, you never know when people fall on hard times unexpectedly,” said Trantham.

“A program like this can impact them and impact their lives and help them to get back on their track by providing for them in one small way,” said Trantham.

For those interested in registering a child in the Angel Tree Program, all they have to do is call 410-749-3077 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

They can also send a message to the Salvation Army Lower Eastern Shore Facebook page.
