New Castle man arrested on numerous charges in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, Del. – The Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Rashad Acklin of New Castle, Delaware in connection with a commercial burglary.
We’re told that around 11:20 p.m. on May 30, 2020, Troopers responded to the Sprint store located at 5600 Concord Pike in Wilmington, for a glass break and reported burglary by approximately 15 subjects.
When Troopers arrived at the scene, the front window of the store had been smashed and merchandise was stolen. All the suspects had already fled.
A suspect was found using DNA from blood evidence found at the crime scene. That suspect was later identified as Rashad Acklin.
Acklin was arrested and charged with third degree burglary, second degree conspiracy, theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief.
There are currently no leads as to the identities of the other suspects.
