LEWES, Del. – A Millsboro man was arrested Tuesday evening after he was found in possession of drugs during a traffic stop.
At around 7:40 p.m., a trooper stopped a vehicle on Coastal Highway in the area of Caveneck Road after learning through a computer check that the owner had a suspended driver’s license. The driver was also traveling above the posted speed limit at the time.
The trooper made contact with the owner and driver, 38-year-old Terrance Barnes, and a subsequent search led to the discovery of approximately 2.55 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Barnes was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked, and speeding. He was later released on his own recognizance.
