Memorial celebrates the life of Bob Culver, honors his contributions to Wicomico Co.
SALISBURY, Md. – In Wicomico County today community members, officials, and loved ones paid their respects to a leader in the county.
A public memorial began for the late County Executive Bob Culver at the Civic Center at one o’clock today. Culver passed away back on July 26th after a month’s long battle with liver cancer.
Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis delivered the eulogy and other speakers included Senators Mary Beth Carozza and Addie Eckardt.
One common message from the day: Culver will be remembered for the many contributions he’s made to Wicomico County.
“He did a tremendous amount for Wicomico County, an enormous amount of work went into his every day schedule,” Sheriff Lewis said.
“He really did what he felt was right, and he made a lot of strong choices for the county, and I think his legacy is going to endure because of that,” Councilman Josh Hastings added.
Culver was elected to his position in 2014 and served until his passing.
