Lewes man arrested on drug charges
MILLSBORO, Del. – A Lewes man was arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop for the check on the welfare Wednesday evening.
At around 8:30 p.m., troopers on patrol in the area of Long Neck Road saw a black Chevrolet Pickup truck stopped in the travel lane, impeding the flow of traffic in the Sea Esta motel parking lot. Contact was made with the driver, who was later identified as 43-year-old William Holloman. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected coming from inside the vehicle, and a partially burnt marijuana blunt was seen in plain view.
A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of a digital scale, approximately 159.82 grams of marijuana, and approximately $500 in suspected drug money.
Holloman was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
