Lawyers for Del. pastor say Carney is resisting deposition attempts

DOVER, Del. – Attorneys for a cleric suing Governor John Carney over COVID-19 restrictions he imposed on church services say the governor is resisting attempts to question him under oath.

In a court filing on Tuesday, attorneys for Rev. Dr. Christopher Allan Bullock say they’ve been trying for several weeks to accommodate and cooperatively schedule Carney’s deposition, however he is reportedly refusing to be deposed.

Bullock’s attorneys say lawyers with the attorney general’s office told them there’s no need to schedule Carney’s deposition at this time.
