Fruitland Police cancel 2020 National Night Out

FRUITLAND, Md. – The Fruitland Police Department has announced the cancellation of this year’s National Night Out.

Officials say the cancellation is due to the ongoing challenges and risks associated with COVID-19. The decision was made “out of an abundance of caution and consideration of those that are responsible for planning the event.”

“We remain hopeful that the spread of COVID-19 will continue to decrease and that we can gather as a community and celebrate at some point later this year,” Fruitland Police said.
