Fairgoers enjoy petting zoo at the Delaware State Fair

HARRINGTON, Del. – Visitors say it’s been exciting to visit the different zoo animals at the Delaware State Fair this year.

Many visitors stopped by the Giraffic Menagerie Petting Zoo.

People there got the chance to feed all kinds of animals like a giraffe and they took pictures with zebras and even goats.

According to Serge Coronas, the owner of Circus Hollywood, spending time with animals is therapeutic for kids and a great learning experience as well.

“Children need to be educated about animals and that’s what we try to do,” said Coronas.

“We try to educate them with our camels and our animals how to treat them.”

Fair officials say visitors at the Petting Zoo needed to following social distancing guidelines.

Bottles of hand sanitizer were provided as well.
