Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History & Culture launches new online resource guide

SALISBURY, Md. – The Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History & Culture has launched an online resource guide for information on racial terror lynchings on the lower Eastern Shore.

The group says for years they’ve digitized sources that document lynchings in Somerset, Worcester and Wicomico Counties.

But now they’ve decided to put it all into one place.

Right now they’re also asking the public to send any pages or photos that can help grow this new resource guide.

They say this initiative is a chance to remember painful chapters in our history.

“Taking the time to reflect on the events and what caused them as well as commemorating the men who didn’t receive the justice they could have or should have in facing racial terror lynchings,” said Local History Archivist Ian Post.

If you’re interested in providing any research or photos to the group you are encouraged to reach out to Ian Post at impost@salisbury.edu. For access to the online guide, click here.
