Dorchester County School Reopen Plan
In Dorchester County they said they will return to school in phases.
Phase one, will be virtual learning, and phase 2 will be an A-Day / B-Day model.
Their start date is September 8 and so far they say they have already received a lot of phone calls from parents voicing concerns about their plans.
The superintendent for DCPS David Bromwell says they’ve weighed all their options are doing what’s best for the student and teacher safety.
However one issue that they are facing is helping kids who might have trouble with internet.
“We have so many students who may not be able to receive any kind of internet access, we’re working on hot spots, we’re talking to comcast, we’re just talking to all of them about how we can make that happen,” Bromwell said
We are also told, If they have a case where a student cannot get internet, then the student becomes a part of a special group that will be one of the first groups to come back to school
