Dorchester Co. church donates to UM Shore Regional Health cancer center

HURLOCK, Md. – The congregation of Hurlock United Methodist Church out of Dorchester County donated $2,624 to benefit the Wig Room at the Cancer Center at UM Shore Regional Health.

According to Shore Regional Health’s Facebook page, Pastor Joan Brooks presented the check to Oncology Services manager Jeanie Scott earlier this month. Pastor Brooks says the congregation was inspired to give because one of their members has been undergoing cancer treatment. They say they wanted to do something to honor her journey.
