Dewey Beer Co. expanding for production to Harbeson, hopefully opening Fall 2020

HARBESON, Del.- For beer lovers in Delaware, a new brewery is making its way to Harbeson.

Brandon Smith, owner of Dewey Beer Company, along with his two other business partners are excited to share this new brewery with the community hopefully early to mid-fall of 2020.

We’re told for several years the company has been running out of beer too quickly at their Dewey Beach restaurant and brewery, so they needed to expand.

This new location in the Harbeson business park- will allow them to keep up with their demand and even bring more jobs to the area.

“We decided to expand and our expansion is mainly for beer production to take care of our in house draft needs and sell more cans in house, and also to distribute to restaurants locally and regionally,” Smith said.

Smith tells us that last week Sussex County Council gave the company the green light to move forward with construction.

We are also told that there will be a tasting room, an outdoor patio, and food trucks for people to enjoy.
