American Red Cross distributing cleanup kits for families impacted by Isaias
SALISBURY, Md. – This weekend the American Red Cross is distributing emergency supplies for communities affected by Tropical Storm Isaias.
The organization will be providing cleanup kits until tomorrow.
The American Red Cross says people can pick these kits at the Park Seventh-day Adventist Church in Salisbury, the Dover Police Department, the Millsboro Town Center, Dover City Hall and the Dover Police Department.
Each cleanup kit includes a bucket, mop, trash bags, face masks and much more.
“There is Red Cross, which is there to support the emergency management and then there’s the volunteer organizations that activate in a disaster and all of us come together to ensure that we’re a community helping a community,” said the Red Cross Delmarva Chapter Executive Director Theresa Young.
Each vehicle that drives up will receive one cleanup kit. Those who need to pick up supplies will be asked to drive up to the location, pop their trunk, and stay in the car.
